In 1832 Their Royal Highnesses Approved

After partaking of luncheon, Their Royal Highnesses The Duchess of Kent and the young Princess Victoria, gave their assent to the Hotel being renamed the Royal Victoria Hotel.

Today, we think you will agree, their approval would have been given to the refurbishment and restoration which has culminated in the Royal Victoria Hotel revealing its period of elegance, whilst incorporating modern essentials such as well appointed bedrooms, conference facilities, stylish restaurants and bars along with adequate private car parking.

The manuscript, displayed at the foot of the grand staircase, which records the visit of The Princess Victoria on 27th October, 1832 and the original shells of the turtles dressed and served at the opening of the hotel in 1830.
